Pet Kitten Contract

Purchase Price

A deposit of $200 has been placed to reserve Kitten.  The remaining balance of $_______ is due upon Buyer’s pick up or 24 hours before pick up via ground transport or flight nanny.

TICA Registration

Health Guarantee

Kitten is deemed healthy prior to pick up or transport.  Buyer shall have Kitten examined by a licensed veterinarian, at Buyer’s cost, within 72 hours of receiving Kitten. If the licensed veterinarian finds Kitten to be unhealthy as to be unfit for sale, Kitten shall be returned to Breeder, with a written statement from the veterinarian, for a full refund of the purchase price.

Kitten is guaranteed for two years against any debilitating congenital condition.  If Kitten is diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian with a debilitating genetic disorder within the first two years, Buyer will provide Breeder with a written statement from the veterinarian for a replacement kitten of Buyer’s choosing.

This guarantee does NOT cover any minor illnesses, temporary conditions, or parasites that do not impact the long-term health of Kitten nor any injury sustained after leaving Breeder’s care.

The FeLV vaccine is typically not recommended for Ragdolls; administering it will void the health guarantee.

Buyer’s Obligations.

Kitten will not be sold, leased, or given away to any pet shop or research lab.  Under no circumstances will Kitten be declawed.  Kitten will be kept cage-free and indoors with heat and air conditioning.  Buyer will provide routine veterinary care and adequate nutrition.  Buyer is responsible for all veterinary costs incurred after Kitten leaves Breeder’s care. Buyer agrees to spay/neuter kitten at an age deemed appropriate by Buyer’s veterinarian. Kitten will not be exposed to opposite sex intact cats while still intact.

● Microchip

Kitten comes with a  microchip preregistered to Breeder.  Buyer agrees to leave Breeder as a backup contact in the event Kitten has been recovered and Buyer cannot be reached. 

● Owner Surrender

If, at any time, Buyer is unable to keep or care for Kitten, Kitten shall be returned to Breeder.  Kitten is never to be surrendered to any animal control or rescue agency.
